- Volunteer’s come into our home. Green Meadows is committed to a holistic approach to health care. This accounts for the whole person mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. Our volunteers and resident assistants organize events to suit many different interests and individual needs. Socialization is encouraged and promoted.
- Eucharistic minister from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Maryvale serves holy communion each Saturday eve following weekly mass in the community. All religions are welcome. Ministers and Reverends visit their parishioners on an individual basis. Mass for Shut-ins air daily in the common living room.
- Catholic mass on site every Thursday
- Volunteers help to enhance the quality of life at Green Meadows. Volunteers come in to perform music, sing, personal errands, walks, and one on one visits, gardening etc….
- Our hair stylist, visits every 6 weeks for total in-home hair care.
- During the summer months Green Meadows Community Residence lives up to its name. There are many areas to enjoy. The scenic meadows have lovely flower and vegetable gardens.
- Holidays and birthdays are celebrated. Any occasion is a good reason for a cake.
- The Antigonish Care Van is accessible for outing such as scenic drives, picnics and special events.
- Other programs such as bingo, sing songs, walks and and visits from volunteers.
- Social programs include visits from local entertainers, theme parties, barbeques, crossword, and trivia
